Day One

Arrive at Johannesburg International Airport by own arrangement. 
Collect fully kitted out Toyota Land Cruiser 4x4 campers and drive to Ubumanzi Private Game Reserve where we will overnight - our first evening under the bright African stars!
Distance: 250 km - mostly tarred roads

Day Two

 Cross the Limpopo river which forms the boundary between South Africa and Botswana, and now in Botswana drive via the town of Palapye and Lethlekane into the vast Makgadikgadi Pans (12000 km2 of wide open spaces.)
Distance: 620 km - mostly tarred roads (last 50 km = dirt tracks)

Accommodation: Wilderness camping at Lekhubu Island with no ablutions

Day Three

Depart Lekhubu and drive deeper into the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans. We cross the endless waterless plains, where only Oryx, Springbuck, Ostrich, Jackal and Hyaena is able to survive in these extreme dry conditions ……
Thick sand, fine dust, rough tracks and spectacular African views as we make our way to Planet Baobab Rest Camp and campsite which is situated on the edge of the Makgadikgadi Wilderness.
Distance: 110 km of dirt and sand tracks (6 hours)

Accommodation: Camping at Planet Baobab camp site with ablutions

Day Four

We use the main road to the town of Maun, the gateway to the Okavango Delta.
We now take a 45 min scenic flight over the spectacular Okavango Delta - a spectacular “inland” delta which supports a wealth of wildlife and spectacular birdlife!! The waters from the Okavango river flows into the 18 000 km2 Okavango Delta, before eventually disappeaing into the red Kalahari sands ….
After the flight we book into a comfortable Lodge.
Distance: 210 km tarred road

FAST FACT: Unlike most rivers, the Okavango - which has its source in the highlands of Angola, never reaches the sea. Instead it spills out onto the sands of the Kalahari basin to create a oasis in the desert.

Day Five

 We once more leave civilisation behind.
450 km of wilderness tracks are waiting to be negotiated!
No civilization, no fuel or food as we follow the tracks into the Moremi Game Reserve which is situated in the Okavango Delta. 
Moremi consist of permanent swamps, seasonally swamped areas, and dry land. It offers some of the best game viewing and bird life in Africa with incredible scenery!
Depending on the level of the water we will negotiate thick sand and numerous water crossings to reach our camp site in the wilderness
Distance: 200 km (50 km tarred road then sand tracks for approx 150 km)

Day Six

Game drives in Moremi !

Day Seven

Depart from the Okavango Delta and follow the sand tracks further into the wilderness of the dry Chobe National Park - this is Elephant and Lion paradise !
Distance: 150 km (Sand tracks all the way) 
Accommodation: Wilderness camping at Savute campsite

Day Eight

Still in the Chobe National Park, we finally reach the waters of the Chobe river where animals come in their thousands to drink water. We travel to the town of Kasane, and book into the Chobe Safari Lodge - the oldest and most well known lodge on the banks of the Chobe river.
From Chobe Safari Lodge you have beautiful views across the waters of the Chobe river.
Distance: 195 km (Sand tracks most of the way, then major gravel roads and eventually tarred road)

Day Nine

The afternoon boat cruise on the Chobe river will ensure that you never forget your Botswana

Day Ten

We leave our vehicles behind in Kasane and take a transfer across the border into Zimbabwe to Victoria Falls.
After checking in, we depart to “The Smoke That Thunder” - the Victoria Falls !
After visiting the falls we return to our Lodge and watch the sun set over Victoria Falls before we depart for the nearby Boma Restaurant for an unforgettable African dinner..!!

Day Eleven

Day Twelve

Transfer to Victoria Falls International Airport, and fly back to Johannesburg International Airport.
A short transfer to the famous Sandton Shopping Centre for a last bit of shopping, before booking into our luxury hotel.

Day Thirteen

Last day in South Africa!
We visit the famous Cullinan Diamond Mine. 
The Cullinan Diamond is the largest rough gem-quality diamond ever found, at 3,106.75 carats (621.35 g). It was found by Frederick Wells, surface manager of the Premier Diamond Mining Company in Cullinan, Gauteng, South Africa, on 25 January 1905. 
The stone was named after Sir Thomas Cullinan, the owner of the diamond mine.

First a short surface tour of the mine, before you will have the chance to purchase diamonds on the mine at wholesale prices!
After lunch, a short transfer to Johannesburg International Airport.
Fly out by own arrangement.
